Full-Time Service Specialist- Owings Mills, MD

The Service Specialist is responsible for scheduling all non-surgical office appointments, responding to incoming phone calls from established patients and other external callers, and communication with sites to ensure that patient phone call requests are resolved in a timely manner.  This role is critical to creating a positive first impression for the practice and to show patients a "we care" attitude, which has a significant impact on patient loyalty and their relationship with the practice.  The hours are Monday- Friday from approximately 8:00AM- 5:00PM.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Respond to incoming phones calls for all sites promptly and in an exceptional quality manner.
  • Appropriately schedule patient appointments based on physician guidelines.
  • Clearly and concisely document every patient request and pertinent information via EMR so that practice can successfully respond to patient needs. 
  • Through appropriate call control, ensure that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.
  • Coordinates work efforts with other team players to achieve an efficient work flow and time adherence within the office.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of customer service skills; preferably in a healthcare or call center environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge. 
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to multi-task. 

 

Patient Collections Representative- Owings Mills, MD

We are seeking a Patient Collections Representative to join our Patient Accounting team.  The Patient Collections Representative is crucial to the practice in reducing our aged receivables with our patients. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Contacting our patients on balances due, verifying contractual payments on accounts, and processing payment plans.
  • Maintain database of patient collection on outstanding balances

 

Requirements:

 

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Medical Billing which includes 2-3 years in patient collections
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claim filing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance plans and member eligibility verification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

 

Physical Therapist- Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation- Owings Mills, MD

Under the direct supervision of our Physicians, the Physical Therapist will treat select adult patients, both men and women, with a focus on rehabilitating the pelvic floor. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all aspects of clinical practice, including being responsible for evaluation and treatment according to standardized techniques, departmental standards, and age appropriate guidelines.
  • Develops treatment plans for assigned patients, including specific goals, established in conjunction with the patient and family, and therapeutic activities. 
  • Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans at periodic intervals and whenever necessary.
  • Provides education to patients and family members, maintaining patient confidentiality. 
  • Documents appropriately and in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to:  evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, billing documentation, treatment notes, and other reports as requested. 
  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy.  Masters Degree preferred.
  • Must possess current Maryland State Licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • At least three (3) years of Physical Therapy experience with at least one (1) year in Pelvic Floor Rehab.
  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and demonstrate solid clinical reasoning skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills dealing with people, problems and issues are essential. 

 

PRN Ultrasonographers- Floater

We are seeking seasoned PRN Ultrasonographers to float between several of our Baltimore offices.  The Ultrasonographer produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data by utilizing high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques.

Duties:

  • Facilitates diagnostic results by obtaining, reviewing, and bringing together pertinent patient history, physical examination, and supporting clinical data.
  • Determines test procedures by reviewing the purpose of the examination.
  • Comforts patients by explaining procedures; assisting patient in proper positioning
  • Ensures test results by selecting transducer; making equipment adjustments according to nature of test, depth of field, and other specifications of test.
  • Records information by entering test data and patient information into computer; recording diagnostic data on magnetic tape, computer disk, strip printout, or film; producing permanent record of test results.
  • Maintains equipment and software by following operating instructions; performing quality control checks of sonographic equipment; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance procedures; backing up computer software and data; calling for repairs and information technology support.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of three years experience; preferably in Abdomen and Small Parts.
  • Current RDMS and BLS certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
