Patient Collections Representative- Owings Mills, M

The Surgical Poster provides support to the patient in coordinating all aspects of the surgical care in a professional and supportive manner.


Responsibilities:

  • Interviews patients referred by the physician for coordination of the surgical care.  Explains the procedure, any related tests or treatments to be obtained prior to the procedure, and necessary preoperative consents and authorizations. 
  • Coordinates the written verification of all surgical care and related services to the patient, noting all in the patient medical record (EHR) as well as the practice management system.
  • Coordinates the pre-operative schedules for pre-admission testing, additional tests and laboratory work, and required notification. 
  • Schedules the appointments according to the individual physician preferences.
  • Follows through on ensuring that all pre-ops are received in a timely manner and submitted to nursing for review. 
  • Directs the pre-authorization process in conjunction with the precertification coordinator, verifying that insurance pre-authorization is received as well as all required PCP referrals.  As indicated, directs completion of Treatment Plan data for various insurers.
  • Scans all referrals into EMR and links referrals to the appointments in Ntierprise.  Completes surgical coordination process by providing written documentation of the schedules and instructions to the patient, scanning copies of the documentation into the patient?s EMR record. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years Surgical Posting experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD-9 and CPT-4 Codes.

Clinical Research Coordinator- Towson, MD

The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for screening, enrolling and following study subjects for Phase II, III and IV clinical trials, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are on study. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review with the Principal Investigator (PI) the inclusion/exclusion criteria, overall structure, and requirements of each protocol.
  • Develop and implement strategies for subject recruitment and ongoing communications with all physicians, research staff, and office staff.
  • Review and verify all relevant source documentation in the subject's medical record to confirm study eligibility. 
  • Ensure that the randomization procedures are followed as per protocol guidelines.
  • Document protocol exemptions and deviations, as appropriate. 
  • Schedule subjects for follow up visits and assess subject's response to therapy and evaluate for adverse events.
  • Review laboratory date and communicate abnormal values to the PI/SI and as needed, primary care provider.
  • Administer study drug therapy as needed and maintain the study drug dispensing log if the pharmacy is not involved in the study.
  • Report all serious Adverse Events to the principal investigator, sponsor, and IRB as outlined in the protocol.  If need be contact subject's primary care physician.
  • Maintenance of accurate and complete documentation including but not limited to regulatory documents, signed informed consent forms, relevant IRB approvals, source documentation, drug dispensing logs, subject logs, and study related communications. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical research experience.   
  • Maintained certification of accreditation (CCRC/IATA/CPR)
  • Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
