It was a beautiful morning to celebrate life and survivorship at the 2015 Zero Prostate Cancer Challenge on September 20th. One of Chesapeake Urology's core values is giving back to the community and we are pleased to announce that this year's ZERO Prostate Cancer Challenge/Baltimore set several records:
- More than $500,000 was raised for prostate cancer awareness, research and free prostate cancer screenings for men throughout the greater Baltimore area.
- To date, the Baltimore ZPCC has raised more than $2.5 million.
- A record 97% of staff and physicians participated in the race in 2015.
- Chesapeake Urology staff raised a record breaking $35,821 for the ZPCC.
In addition, through funds raised by our ZPCC efforts, Chesapeake Urology presented a check for $114,248 to the AUA’s Urology Care Foundation for the Chesapeake Urology Scholar endowment and research fund, which is now permanently endowed at more than $1 million.
