WHAT IS A UROLOGIC ONCOLOGIST?
A urologic oncologist or uro-oncologist is a urologist with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers. Uro-oncologists treat patients with general urology issues as well as complex cancers of the urinary tract and the male reproductive organs.

Rian Dickstein, M.D.
Dr. Dickstein is a urologic oncologist who trained at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of all urologic cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile cancers.
Dr. Dickstein has published numerous articles on urologic cancers in multiple medical journals and has presented at national meetings.

Bishoy Gayed, M.D.
Dr. Gayed is the director of urologic oncology at St Agnes hospital. Dr. Gayed completed his fellowship training in urologic oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern. He specializes in the treatment and management of kidney, prostate, bladder, ureteral, testicular, penile, and adrenal cancers, including the use of robotics, laparoscopy, focal therapy, and open surgical techniques. He also focuses on urinary diversion (continent and incontinent). Dr. Gayed has published over 25 articles, written multiple book chapters, and presented at numerous local and national meetings in the field of urologic oncology.

Anup A. Vora, M.D.
Dr. Vora is a urologic oncologist who completes his fellowship training at the preeminent Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all urologic cancers including, adrenal, bladder, kidney/ureteral, prostate, penile and testicular cancers. Dr. Vora received certification in the principles and practice of clinical research from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has published numerous articles on urologic oncology in multiple medical journals.

Geoffrey Sklar, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Sklar is Chesapeake Urology's medical director and is also experienced in complex surgical procedures and treatments for urologic cancers. Dr. Sklar is a local leader in bladder cancer treatment as well as continent urinary diversion and neobladder, and performs blue light cystoscopy, a new technology for detecting and diagnosing bladder tumors.
