Chesapeake Urology Associates announces new director of nursing and two credentialing experts

BALTIMORE - Chesapeake Urology Associates (CUA)-Maryland's premier urology group-announces the addition of Stacy Zemencik, RN as director of nursing, a new credentialing manager, Ginger McAndrew and a credentialing expert, Janet Palardy. 

Stacy Zemencik, RN, was recently appointed by CUA as director of nursing.  She will oversee the ASCs and nursing staff while working closely with physician leadership.  Zemencik was promoted from her previous role as Clinical Nurse Educator for CUA.  Prior to joining CUA in 2007, she was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania as the Nursing Career Liaison for the East Central Pennsylvania Health Education Center. There, she published a book of all nursing schools in the State of Pennsylvania entitled "Pathways to Nursing Careers" to help high school students prepare for careers in nursing.  Prior that, Zemencik served as Director of Nursing for a 180 bed, long term care center in Pottsville, PA.  She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Reading, PA.  

As credentialing manager, Ginger McAndrew joins CUA with over 20 years experience in contracting, provider relations and physician and managed care credentialing.  McAndrew also is very active in legislative issues related to credentialing and re-imbursement. Before joining Chesapeake Urology, McAndrew served as Credentialing Manager for Mercy Medical Center for 10 years.   Prior to that, she worked for two health plans in provider relations and contracting, and for the law firm of HHL. 

Janet Palardy, previously in credentialing with the CUA legacy group, Maryland Urology Associates, will now manage credentialing and commercial follow-up for CUA's 14 ambulatory surgery centers.  Palardy has been with CUA for nine years and was in collections, utilization review and financial counseling at Franklin Square Hospital Center for 10 years.
