Congratulations to Daniel Dietrick, M.D., who was named President of the Medical Staff at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Dietrick is a physician with Chesapeake Urology and serves as its Chief Value Officer as well as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Dietrick specializes in the treatment of prostate cancer, including da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Prior to taking on the role of President of the medical staff, he served as Chief of the Department of Surgery at the medical center for eight years.
Dr. Dietrick previously served as Prostate Chair of the Maryland Chapter of the American Cancer Society, was awarded one of the first Young Leaders in Urology awards of the American Urological Association, and is a member of the American Association of Physician Leaders. In 2010, he was inducted into The Healing Hands Guild of the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
