February 28, 2020 (Owings Mills, MD) — Karen E. Boyle, M.D., F.A.C.S., was quoted in the recent U.S. News & World Report article, “A patient’s Guide to Sexual Disorders and Dysfunction” (Feb. 25, 2020) which focused on the help that is available for individuals and couples struggling with sexual dysfunction. The article discussed the varying and complex reasons for sexual dysfunction, which include arousal disorders, desire disorders, orgasmic disorders, and painful sex. Dr. Boyle, a well-known and highly experienced urologic microsurgeon, was consulted by the author of the article for her expertise in sexual and reproductive medicine for men and women as director of male fertility, microsurgery and sexual health at Chesapeake Urology.
Focusing on the variety of treatment options that exist to address sexual dysfunction, Dr. Boyle was quoted as saying, “These sexual concerns in men, I think they obviously very much require a dedicated evaluation with a urologist…Because it’s more than just throwing Viagra at a man. We want to make sure that we do a detailed history, physical, lab testing.”
