Medical Oncologists

Chesapeake Urology partners with medical oncologists from Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) to serve the needs of our urologic oncology patients including the delivery of chemotherapy. 

 

CelanoPaul Celano, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Medical Director, Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Center at GBMC


Paul Celano, M.D., F.A.C.P., is the Medical Director of the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC. He holds a special interest in treating genitourinary, gynecologic, gastrointestinal and breast malignancies and also leads the oncology clinical trials program. With over 25 years of experience as practicing oncologist, Dr. Celano has an established reputation in the Baltimore community for treatment of urologic malignancies.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of
Pennsylvania, completed his medical training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and then subsequently completed his fellowship in oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and served on the full time faculty prior to joining GBMC. Dr. Celano serves as President of the Maryland/DC Society of Clinical Oncology and is an Associate Professor of Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. 

 


Elman

Ari Elman, M.D.
Hematologist/Medical Oncologist

Ari Elman, M.D., is a hematologist/medical oncologist at the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC. Dr. Elman maintains an interest in genitourinary malignancies from his fellowship where he completed rotations with the prostate cancer clinical program at the VA Hospital in Baltimore. He
completed his medical training and fellowship in oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

 


Tang

Mei Tang, M.D.
Hematologist/Medical Oncologist

Mei Tang, M.D., is a hematologist/medical oncologist at the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC. Dr. Tang has an interest in solid tumors, including genitourinary malignancies. She earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her fellowship in oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is responsible for maintaining quality accreditation of the Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology at GBMC.
