Uropathology Services

To help ensure the highest quality of diagnosis for our patients, Chesapeake Urology Associates has a state-of-the-art laboratory specializing in uropathology, under the direction of Dr. Tehmina Z. Ali, a fellowship-trained urologic pathologist who is nationally known in her field.

Chesapeake Urology's Uropathology Services is dedicated to the most accurate diagnosis of conditions of all the urologic organs, including prostate cancerkidney disease and bladder cancer.

Uropathology is a unique specialization and only a few laboratories in Maryland are under the direction of specialty trained uropathologists.  As more men undergo prostate cancer screening at a young age so that the disease can be caught at a very early stage, it is especially important for their tissue samples to be analyzed by an experienced uropathologist's eye.

Not only does Chesapeake Urology's Uropathology Services offer the most technologically advanced testing available and the very best pathology analysis, the turnaround time for results is fast and direct, so that patients do not have to wait for lab results to be relayed from an outside independent lab.  Our quality assurance is unparalleled.  Patients can rely on their results and diagnosis with confidence, which leads to the best possible treatment for the management of their disease by our urologists.
