Background
Dr. Shah specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant adult urology conditions with a focus on minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) including UroLift. He also focuses on kidney stones, vasectomy procedures, robotic surgery for prostate cancer, treatments for kidney cancer including laparoscopic surgery, and treatment of erectile dysfunction and male urinary incontinence.
Dr. Shah has conducted research on the development of novel medical devices for minimally invasive treatment of small renal masses and kidney stones. He also is the co-inventor of a U.S. patented technology for a non-invasive ultrasound-based device for kidney stone treatment. He has published numerous articles in multiple medical journals and has presented at national meetings on subjects primarily related to kidney stones.
His recognitions include the Northwest Urologic Society’s award for research in advances in kidney cancer treatment, a Medical Scholars Research Fellowship from Stanford University and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons’ Resident Scholarship from the University of Washington.
