Dr. Segal practices general urology and male sexual medicine. His expertise includes male sexual dysfunction, erectile dysfunction including penile prosthesis, Peyronie’s disease, hypogonadism (low testosterone), priapism, premature ejaculation as well as male incontinence, urethral strictures and enlarged prostate (BPH). He also performs the UroLift procedure for the treatment of BPH/enlarged prostate. Dr. Segal sees patients for erectile dysfunction (ED), Peyronie’s disease and hypogonadism (low testosterone).
While at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Segal coordinated several research studies and clinical trials under Dr. Arthur Burnett for erectile dysfunction following radical prostatectomy. He has co-authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented studies at urology and sexual medicine conferences.
While in medical training at McGill University, Dr. Segal was awarded the Frank McGill Travel Fellowship award and the Quebec Urology Association Scholarship. He received a research grant from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and was elected to the Golden Key National Honour Society at McGill University. In addition, for four years, Dr. Segal was a volunteer “Big Brother” to a child with special needs as a member of The Friendship Circle Montreal, a non-profit organization that provides assistance and support to children with special needs and their families.
Dr. Segal is a member of the American Urological Society, the Canadian Urological Society and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. He speaks English and French.
